Description
12 Gauge Francotte Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun. Serial no. 30747. 12 gauge. 30-inch barrels with matted concave rib. Case-hardened boxlock action engraved with fine foliate scroll. Fences with leafage in relief. Extractor. Non-automatic safety. Sideclips. Intercepting safety. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of figured walnut. Checkered panels at head. One and a half inch period recoil pad. Finely checkered splinter fore-end.Data: Bores: 0.733/0.732 inches. Chambers: 2 3/4 inches Pull: 14 inches. Drop at comb: 1 1/2 inches. Drop at comb: 2 3/8 inches. Proof: Belgian Black Powder, 18.5/18.5. Marked 2 3/4 Weight: 7 pounds 8 ounces.
Condition: Very Good, as partially redone. Barrels show 70-80% bluing. Bright bores. Action shows silver patina with some varnish over run. Stock shows a refreshed finish with a number of nicks and scratches. Action/barrels show slight looseness. Recoil pad is hardened and deformed. Fore-end shows a refinish.
