Description
Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS-1C) Brass 1:20 Scale Model. A 22" x 4" x 9.5" metal brass colored model on wooden stand of the IRS model that was launched under the Indian Space Research Organization in the late 1980s. Used to transmit data to ground stations to monitor and assist with agricultural programs among other needs. Affixed to the wooden stand that states: "IRS-1c/ Indian Remote Sensing Satellite/ (Scale 1:20). The program is still in use today with future launches of satellites planned. Nice display piece.
