Project Mercury: Three Vintage Vinyl Recordings. Three vintage recordings issued for three flights of the Mercury program. Includes examples for both the first ever manned flight of Alan Shepard, as well as Glenn's flight to become the first American to orbit the Earth. The Freedom 7 copy for Alan Shepard's flight is signed by Shepard on the verso and was issued by Columbia records for CBS News, while the other two are issued by Nelson Doubleday, Inc.
