Men In Space Set of Twenty-One Solid Bronze Medals by The Danbury Mint in Presentation Case, Registered to and from Alan Bean's Personal Collection, with Certificate of Authenticity. The first edition of this set containing 21 beautiful 1.375" diameter (35mm) medals, one for each manned American space mission from MR-3 Freedom 7 through Apollo 11. The obverses present a view of the mission and the astronaut names. The reverses give details of mission highlights. There were 6,321 sets issued in 1969 and the included certificate is numbered B00001 and made out to Commander Alan L. Bean. A beautiful set. Light wear to the case, otherwise as issued.Auction Info
