Description

Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman & the Space Shuttle Challenger (STS-51-L) Disaster: Handwritten Document After Joining Rogers Commission. One lined sheet in black ink measuring 8.5" x 11" on which Feynman wrote his notes after examining the Challenger wreckage. He writes in part: "KSC. Low temp reading on right hand booster @ 7 [degrees] and 9 [degrees]...Probably cold from flow off of ET which is 24 [degrees] down to -8 [degrees] from top to bottom. Wind OK direction...Get data. Ask for other flights." Great first hand account of Feynman gathering information.

An intriguing document from the brilliant mind that would challenge NASA's management and its practices that led to the disaster. Very fine.
