Description

Indo-Persian Shamshir with Scabbard. Having a 31 1/2-inch curved damascus blade with a design on right side that is known as the "forty steps by which the faithful ascend to heaven". Straight crossguard with fluted cap finials and languets. Bone grip scales. Silver pommel cap. Contained in original embossed black leather covered wooden scabbard with two steel ring mounts and drag. Condition: Good. Blade showing age wear, light pitting and patina. Grip with wear and chips. Silver pommel cap is a period replacement. Scabbard with wear and shrinkage to leather, light pitting to mounts and patina.
