Ex. Al Worden
Apollo 15 Flown District of Columbia Flag Originally from the
Personal Collection of Command Module Pilot Al Worden, Signed and
Certified with Letter of Authentication, in Framed Display with
Embroidered Mission Insignia Patch. A 6" x 4" Washington, D.C.
flag that was carried aboard Apollo 15 on its mission to the moon.
The flag design is based on the design of George Washington's coat
of arms with three red stars above two red bars, all against a
white background. It has been signed along the lower border:
"Flown to the Moon on Apollo 15 Al Worden Apollo 15 CMP". It
has been beautifully matted and framed with a 4" embroidered
mission insignia patch to an overall size of 12.75" x 16". Included
with the lot is a signed LOA on Worden's letterhead attesting this
flag is from his personal collection. Rarely offered artifact in
attractive display. Excellent.
