Description

Apollo-Era Flown Space Food Package "Day - 8, Meal - C". A 6" x 4.5" x 2" sealed plastic pouch containing a complete meal in individual packages along with a germicide tablet. The label on front has the number "8331" and an inspector's stamp. On the back is a blue piece of Velcro and a Serial No. "FAD131". The individual item labels that are visible are for "Orange-Grapefruit Drink/ 8325" and "Beef with Vegetables/ 8330". Quite rare as packaged. This pouch has been kept for many years in a plastic bag with a label that reads: "This meal went into space and back again on one of the Apollo missions." Do we need to add the warning that this is not for consumption? Very good. From the private collection of Marshall K. "Marty" Robbins.
