Description
Apollo-Era Flown Space Food Package "Day - 8, Meal - C". A 6" x 4.5" x 2" sealed plastic pouch containing a complete meal in individual packages along with a germicide tablet. The label on front has the number "8331" and an inspector's stamp. On the back is a blue piece of Velcro and a Serial No. "FAD131". The individual item labels that are visible are for "Orange-Grapefruit Drink/ 8325" and "Beef with Vegetables/ 8330". Quite rare as packaged. This pouch has been kept for many years in a plastic bag with a label that reads: "This meal went into space and back again on one of the Apollo missions."
