X-15: "X-15 Operations: Electronics and the Pilot" Written by Neil Armstrong for Astronautics, the Journal of the American Rocket Society Directly From the Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. Five pages (on the recto and verso of four single pages), 8.25" x 11.25", extracted from Volume 5, Number 5 of Aeronautics, May, 1960. Armstrong piloted the X-15 seven times and was certainly qualified to author this technical article on the relationship between the pilot and the electronic information gathering systems of the aircraft. Some toning to the paper, otherwise excellent condition. Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve. CAG 1002029-14, 15, 16, 17. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
