Description
Apollo 15 Flown American Flag on Crew-Signed Presentation Certificate Apparently to University of Texas Legend Rooster Andrews. A 6.25" x 4.125" silk red-bordered U.S. flag mounted to a 10" x 12" certificate bearing the Apollo 15 mission insignia and signed as follows: "Dave Scott", "Al Worden", and "Jim Irwin". This is only the second time Heritage has offered one of this type of presentation for Apollo 14 (and the first American flag). Evidence strongly points to the fact that this was given to space enthusiast "Rooster" Andrews to display in his Austin sports store. All the writing is uniformly faded but quite visible; the flag has some glue bleedthrough but is bright and crisp, formerly matted and framed. Very fine.Auction Info
