Apollo 8 Vintage NASA "Final Flight Plan AS-503 / CSM-103" Book, November 22, 1968, Directly from the Dr. Rocco Petrone Family Collection. An original 8" x 10.5" single staplebound, five-hole punched manual of approximately 240 pages. It is divided into five major sections: "General," "Detailed Timeline," "Consumables Analysis," "Detailed Test Objectives," and "Summary Flight Plan." A wealth of information on this historic flight that was used by the Director of Launch Operations. During seventeen years of our Space Exploration department, this is the first of these we have encountered. Light soiling on the front cover, back cover not present, otherwise very fine.

As the Director of Launch Operations at the Kennedy Space Center, Dr. Petrone was instrumental in overseeing the preparation and launch of the Apollo missions. His meticulous attention to detail, rigorous standards for safety and reliability, and exceptional leadership skills ensured the successful execution of some of the most complex and high-stakes operations in human spaceflight history.
