Ex. James Lovell
Apollo 13 Flown Embroidered Mission Insignia Crew Patch
Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander James
Lovell, with Signed Certificate of Authenticity, in Matted
Display. This stunning 4" diameter patch (Crew Patch by AB
Emblem) with the mission slogan "Ex Luna, Scientia" (from
the moon, knowledge), flew on the near-disastrous Apollo 13 mission
to the moon and back. It is mounted to the LOA that reads, in part:
"...The attached patch was flown in the Command Module
Odyssey during the April 11-17, 1970, flight of Apollo XIII.
It was one of the few to be carried to the lunar surface onboard
the Lunar Module Aquarius. [signed] James Lovell/ Apollo
8, 13..." The LOA is matted to an overall 11" x 14", ready to
frame. Authenticity sticker from SpaceSource on verso. A couple of
dents in the paper, very fine.
