A 11.5" x 8" cloth U.S. flag that flew to the moon on the Apollo 16 mission with John Young, Charlie Duke, and Ken Mattingly. Rare and desirable in this size, highly displayable. Storage folds, otherwise excellent.

Included with this lot is a Letter of Certification signed by Young's widow, Susy Young. It reads, in full: "I hereby certify that the flag of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that accompanies this letter was flown to the Moon aboard the Apollo 16 mission April 16-27, 1972.
