Apollo 11 Flown Flight Plan Clipping With Test Postal Cancellation Signed Twice and Annotated by Michael Collins Cancelled in Flight on the Day of the Moon Landing Directly from the Personal Collection of Michael Collins, CAG Certified. A 4.75" x 2" section of paper from Apollo 11's flight plan with printed flight data on one side annotated and signed in black ink "From our Apollo XI / flight plan. / Michael Collins". The reverse side is postmarked with the "Moon Landing" postal stamp dated July 20, 1969. Collins has signed it again just above the cancellation lines. The flown piece is accompanied by an LOA on Michael Collins' personal Apollo 11 letterhead reads: "This small clipping from the / Command Module flight plan book was / the result of my testing the cancellation / of a postal service cover with a new / stamp issue. I wanted to get a full, / non-smudged imprint, so I practiced / (I believe three times) before actually / doing the cancellation. / I believe this was done early / on the return trip to earth. / Michael Collins / Apollo XI CMP". Sealed in a numbered archival sleeve, CAG 3000043-001. Excellent.
