Apollo 12 Flown Space Treaty Signed and Certified by Mission
Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean, from His Family Collection, with
Certificate of Authenticity, in Framed Display. A 5.5" x
3.25" copy of the "Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of
States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the
Moon and Other Celestial Bodies" printed on parchment paper. Bean
has signed in the lower right corner: "Flown to the Moon/ Apollo
XII/ Alan L Bean/ Nov '69". The treaty is beautifully matted
and framed to an overall 10" x 13.75" with an Apollo 12 embroidered
mission patch (unflown) and an engraved plate. A handsome and very
displayable memento from man's second moon landing mission.

Bean.This treaty forms the basis for international space law. It was opened for signature in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union on January 27, 1967; it entered into force on October 10, 1967. Today, 114 countries are party to this treaty.
