Description
French Model 1786 Hussar Carbine, St Etienne Gun measures 41 1/2" overall with a 27 1/2" .70 caliber barrel. Lock with St. Etienne arsenal markings, working action. Brass butt plate and lock pan, iron fittings, side displays a sling bar with double rings. All iron is mottled dark / gray, with areas of light pitting, forward band pin missing. Wood exhibits heavy usage with numerous dents and a small area of fill at the rear band.Auction Info
