Hand-Colored Lithograph "The Lees of Virginia Generals C.S.A. 1861-1865", Circa 1898. 16.5" x 20.25". Engraved by Charles B. Hall. Copyright 1898. The print features five small etched portraits of men in Confederate uniforms including Fitzhugh Lee, Major General; E.G. [Edwin Gray] Lee, Brigadier General; R.E. Lee, Commander-in-Chief; W.H.F. [William Henry Fitzhugh] Lee, Major General; and G.W.C. [George Washington Custis] Lee, Major General. Facsimiles of each man's signature appears beneath his portrait. The Lee Family coat of arms is at the center top and at center bottom is an etching of Stratford, the Lee Family home. The title of the piece is printed in the lower margin. Some toning to paper as well as a few scattered stains, otherwise very good condition.
