Description
Calvin Coolidge Naval Appointment Signed. One partially printed page, 15 x 19 ½ inches, Washington; November 22, 1926. A document appointing Edward T. Hoopes to "Pay Director in the Navy, with the rank of Captain." Signed "Calvin Coolidge" as president and countersigned by Curtis D. Wilbur as Secretary of the Navy. Blue paper seal is affixed at the lower left.Condition: Flattened folds. Moderate light foxing throughout, light edge toning; heavier on the verso along the left margin. Minor wear to the bottom left edge, with paper seal intact.
