Ambrose E. Burnside Autograph Quote Signed. 4 x 2 1/2 inches (sight), framed alongside a plaque and photograph of Burnside to an overall size of 16 3/4 x 14 3/4 inches. In full: "Let every citizen do all in his power to aid the government and our success in crushing the rebellion is certain. A. E. Burnside / Maj Genl. / Providence / Aug 31st 1864."Condition: Not examined out of frame. Lightly toned with a few very light stains. Bottom edge trimmed, just touching Burnside's rank.
