Description

Thomas Jefferson Land Grant Signed "Th: Jefferson." One partially printed page of vellum, 15.25" x 8.75", Washington, D.C.; December 23, 1808. Granting a parcel of land in Steubenville to "William Milhous, Assignee of Horton Howard." Countersigned by James Madison as Secretary of State. With a white paper seal at the lower left.

Condition: Flattened folds, with additional creasing and bumping to corners. Uneven toning and soiling throughout. Paper loss and a hole to the left of the paper seal.
