Limited edition of 400 copies printed to 300gm Arches Cover, of which this is number 14, signed by the author and illustrator to the limitation page. Folio (21.75 x 18.5 inches; 552 x 470 cm). Unpaginated. Illustrated with extremely bright four-color chromolithographs after Elizabeth Catlett. Publisher's crimson cloth with the title blocked in black to the upper board. Housed in black cloth clamshell case lined in gray fleece and with crimson morocco label to upper board, lettered in black. Fine.This stunning limited edition was created to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Walker's For My People (1942), "one of the most moving books of poetry to come out of the American South, from one of the most powerful voices of Afro-America."
