With the half-title printed on page [i], the recto of the frontispiece. Octavo. 575, [1, blank], [2, advertisements] pages. In-text illustrations. Publisher's original decorative green cloth, stamped in black, gray, and gilt, spine decorated and lettered in gilt. Yellow-green geometric endpapers, all edges trimmed, Protective Association stamp number "A 3609" to rear free endpaper.

Condition: Minor scuffing to boards, corners rubbed, spine worn, head and tail of spine pushed and frayed. Hinges repaired. Text block mildly toned, scattered foxing. Very good.
