First edition, first printing with no mention of "Second Series" on the list of author's works. Small octavo. [2], x, 101, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's blue cloth over beveled boards, front board and spine stamped in gilt. Spine soiled and somewhat worn; some rubbing, soiling to boards; one black blemish on front board; corners a bit worn; slightly skewed. Endleaves toned, previous owner's signature on front blank; some occasional thumbsoiling in text. Still, very good. Prideaux A35.
