Algernon Charles Swinburne. Astrophel and Other Poems. London: Chatto & Windus, 1894.8vo. With 32 pp. publisher's advertisements at end dated February 1894. Original blue cloth gilt.
FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO CLEMENT SHORTER on the front free endpaper: "Clement K. Shorter / from AC Swinburne." Clement Shorter was a noted British journalist, literary critic, author, and book collector.
Condition: Spine slightly leaned and rubbed at ends; minor rubbing and bumping to corners; some bumping to edges. Some light foxing to endpapers.
