PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO ROBERT PENN WARREN on the front free endpaper: "For Robert Penn Warren, / with best wishes, / Howard Nemerov / Madison, Conn. / 11 July 1947." A WONDERFUL ASSOCIATION COPY, inscribed by the third poet laureate of the United States to the second.
Condition: Touch of wear to cloth extremities; gilt on spine partially rubbed away; hinges a little toned. Dust jacket unclipped (priced "$2.00"), with spine panel and flap folds lightly toned.
