limited to 1,434 copies, of which both are number 160, and signed
by the author, association copy belonging to Kansas senator
Harry Darby with an additional inscription from Eisenhower on
the limitation page of Mandate for Change. Two octavo
volumes. Includes: Mandate for Change 1953-1956. Garden
City: Doubleday & Company, 1963. xviii, [1, List of Maps], [1,
blank], 650, [2, blank]. [and:] Waging Peace 1956-1961.
Garden City: Doubleday & Company, 1965. Publisher's bookplate
addressed to Darby in typescript and a brief inscription from "The
Eisenhowers" on the tipped-in signature leaf. xxiii, [1, blank],
741, [3, blank]. Publisher's tan cloth, Presidential seals in gilt
on front boards, spines stamped in green and gilt, top edge of text
block trimmed, others rough trimmed, pictorial cartographic
endpapers. Both in publisher's slipcases. Slipcases a bit rubbed.
