James, 1850. 8vo. xi, 640pp. Twenty-three engraved plates and one folding map ("A New Map of Mexico, California & Oregon"). Full period sheep with ornate blind-stamped pictorial boards. Front joint renewed. The spine and boards are rubbed and lightly soiled, but the pages are remarkably bright with occasional foxing. Ink name on a front endpaper.
