[Texas Rangers]. Nat B. Jones Photograph, circa 1920. Measuring 3.25" x 5.75", Nat Jones, who went by the nickname "Kiowa," sits on a box crate holding a lever action, .30 Army Winchester Model 1895, the ubiquitous Colt revolver (with ivory handles) holstered on his right hip. Uneven edges are chipped at the upper right corner and along the upper edge. Mounting remnants on the verso and at upper left corner of recto. 1.5" tear at lower edge. "Nat B. Jones" written in black ink near upper left corner.

Nat Jones enlisted in the Texas Rangers in 1915 and served in Captain William "Bill" McDonald's (1852-1918) Company "B," as well as in Companies "C" and "E." For a time he acted as an inspector for the Sheep and Goat Association. He left the Rangers in 1927.
