Description
1904 Prescott, Arizona Hanging Photo Postcards. This set of three scarce near mint color-tinted cards depicts the hanging of two Mexican men for a notorious murder. One carries the not-terribly-politically-correct caption "Adios Amigos". At one time Western hangings were widely attended public spectacles. However, in this case a tall temporary wood fence seems to have been erected to shield the execution from public view.Auction Info
