Description

[William Jennings Bryan]: Child's Parade Drum with Adlai Stevenson "Stanhope-Style" Image. 11" in diameter, 8.5" tall, snare drum with pair of original drum sticks. When peering through a small air-hole, one sees a portrait of Bryan's running mate, Adlai E. Stevenson, in full color, surrounded by flags. We suspect this is a small paper label attached to the far side of the interior wall. This was purchased at auction in 2004 for $525, although the original price in 1900, per pencil markings, was 79-cents. Great condition.
