Civil War: Two Cartoons Celebrating the Union Rout of Southern Troops At Boonville, MO. In June 1861 Union troops commanded by Capt. Nathaniel Lyon, successfully drove Confederate troops under Gen. Sterling Price from the state capital in Jefferson City. The Governor, Claiborne F. Jackson was forced to retreat along with Confederate commander Price and his troops. The two cartoons, one titled "Strayed", the other titled "The Battle Of Booneville, Or The Great Missouri "Lyon" Hunt." depict these events. Sizes are 10" x 15.5" and 13.5" x 17" respectively.

Condition: Smaller print is extra fine. Larger cartoon has a bit of roughness and loss to edges, a small tear, generally fine condition.
