Certificate number 1938for one share of stock in the American Express Company issued to Jeremiah P. Austin with an engraving of a locomotive at center. Signed by the President and Secretary of the company, Henry Wells and William G. Fargo, famous as founders of Wells, Fargo & Company. Some tanning, as shown. Strong signatures.
