Description
Ronald Reagan: White House China Platter. 14.5" x 10.75", underside of base reads, "White House Service by Robert C. Floyd Fitz and Floyd, Inc. Fine China 1983." This oval china platter is tastefully decorated with gilt edging complimented by red and blue border elements. The top of the platter is additionally embellished with a gilt presidential seal. The bowl's provenance is augmented by the included facsimile of a November 18, 1983 Ronald Reagan TLS in which Floyd is thanked for the service and an article by The New York Times from December 18, 1983 interviewing a spokesperson from Fitz and Floyd, Inc. Four 6" x 4" photographs of the service in executive use are included. Condition is excellent with a very minor yellow accretion on right side of platter. Beautiful display piece.Auction Info
