Description

Civil War: Identification / Dog Tag of Beniah Pratt 28th PA Volunteers. 30mm, white metal. Civil War soldier's identification tag belonging to Beniah Pratt. He enlisted on June 28, 1861 as a Corporal and was mustered into "A" Co. Pennsylvania 28th Infantry on the same day. Listed as wounded (date and place unknown), he was discharged with wounds on November 29, 1862. Given that Corporal Pratt was discharged due to wounds on November 29, 1862, it's plausible he was likely injured at Antietam, considering the heavy losses the regiment sustained there.

Condition: Nicks and dings to rim, still quite legible, clearly battle worn condition.
