Description

[Civil War Era] "Grand Union Rally!" Recruiting Broadside. This 18.625" x 24.375" boldly proclaims "Grand Union Rally!" at the top. A "Mass Union Meeting" is advertised at the Town Hall at Raymond Center on Tuesday, September 10, at one o'clock P.M. Multiple important speakers are listed, including Colonel G.H. Tucker, the Honorable W.C. Clarke, and Honorable W. Harriman. Governor Berry is also listed as a personality to be in attendance. Minor toning is present throughout, with damp staining at the top edge and toward the bottom of the right edge. The right edge is slightly rough, and tears are present at the left and top edges where separated at creases. A 9" tear is at the right edge along the horizontal center crease, and a 2" tear can be seen at the bottom left corner. In overall good condition, this broadside retains its bold print and eye-catching graphic presence.
