Description

[Ulysses S. Grant]: Anti-Greeley Cartoon Featuring Victoria Woodhull. Medium folio lithograph 10.25" x 15", published by Currier & Ives in 1872, titled "The Elephant and His Keepers." The doting and eccentric Greeley is pushed around in a baby carriage by Henry Ward Beecher, followed by the first woman candidate for President, Victoria Woodhull, who remonstrates with Beecher regarding his infidelity. Greeley's manager (not identified) advises him to remain silent "... or you'll spoil the whole plot."

Condition: Bright with a very clean appearance.
