Description

Theodore Roosevelt and Alton B. Parker: Jugate Button Comic Strip Advertisement. 1 3/4" button featuring portraits of the two 1904 major party candidates, formatted as a pen wipe, The button is titled "A 'Little Prize'" and was issued as a promotion for the Philadelphia Evening Telegraph newspaper and its "Daily Funnigraph". We assume this was an early comic strip, so this should have some crossover appeal to comic collectors. Made by Whitehead & Hoag.

Condition: Clasps on reverse for attachment to a pen wipe. Couple of small age marks at 10 o'clock, otherwise in great condition.
