Lewis Cass: Gorgeous Brass Shell. LC-1848-7, 24mm, silvered brass shell. A nice example, the obverse features a left facing bust of Cass along with his name and the date "1849." Reverse bears the inscription, "Cass/ &/ Butler/ 1849." Much of the silvering remains with brass color visible at locations along the edges of the obverse. Overall, this shell piece exhibits minimal to moderate wear and is in overall very fine condition. No minimum bid. From the J.Doyle Dewitt Collection.
