Description
Lewis Cass: Gorgeous Brass Shell. LC-1848-7, 24mm, silvered brass shell. A nice example, the obverse features a left facing bust of Cass along with his name and the date "1849." Reverse bears the inscription, "Cass/ &/ Butler/ 1849." Much of the silvering remains with brass color visible at locations along the edges of the obverse.
