Description

James Buchanan: Anti-Frémont Broadside. 11" x 18" broadside announcing a meeting of "the Keystone Club at the Town Hall in Suffield [CT]... September 27, 1856." This was a pro-Buchanan club. "We make the charge, that the troubles in KANSAS are encouraged and kept alive by the supporters of Freemont [sic], in the hope of gaining political capital. And we can prove the charge!" Faint damp stains and loss to upper corners, two minor areas of tape bleed-through, very fine condition overall. A graphic broadside with good content, conducive for display.
From the collection of Ed Sullivan.
