Description
William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody and Sitting Bull: Cabinet Card. "Foes in '76, Friends in '85," went the publicity. Buffalo Bill and Sitting Bull regarded each other with a great deal of mutual respect. They are pictured here, each clasping the other's right hand while their lefts share a gun barrel. The bottom of this 4.25" x 6.5" cabinet card reads, "C.H. Wells,/ Denver," and includes the address "1126 15th Street." The verso is blank.Condition: Scattered toning, with light foxing and soiling throughout. A small black spot is on Cody's cheek, and the corners and edges show minor wear.
