William Henry Harrison: Inauguration Ball Invitation. 4 1/2" x 7 1/4" invitation on bifolium paper with embossed border for the "Tippecanoe Inauguration Ball. March 4, 1841." at Carusi's Saloon. This is one of two inauguration balls held that evening in Washington. The name of the guests, "Mrs. Bumford & Ladies", is inscribed. The lettering and design is printed in a distinctive gold ink. Just-about mint condition... hard to find so nice. Henry Clay, Daniel Webster and Millard Fillmore are among the listed managers of the event.Auction Info
