[John Wilkes Booth]: Girlfriends and Other Luminaries of the Stage. When John Wilkes Booth was killed, they found photos of actress girlfriends tucked in his diary (Fanny Brown, Alice Gray, Helen Western and Effie Germon). This lot includes: a 4" x 5 ½" ALS by Effie Germon offering her services after the closure of the Columbus Stock Company, three cabinet cards of Germon, a Gurney CDV of Helen Western and a CDV of Fanny Brown with John W. Pittock of Pittsburgh back mark, possibly signed by her on verso.
