Description

John Wilkes Booth: Half Plate Tintype. 4 ½" x 6 ¼" tintype (slightly larger than a half plate) of Booth, seated in a Gothic-style chair, holding an open book, appearing deep in thought. His cheeks are slightly tinted. This is a tintype copy of the Case & Getchell portrait. Booth tintypes are much rarer than Booth CDVs and this is the largest Booth tintype we have ever seen! It is in excellent condition.
