Description
Woodrow Wilson: The Iconic 1¼" "I wood-row Wilson and Marshall to Victory" Design. This very rare and colorful variety, featuring banners in the colors of both the U.S. and Princeton, is widely regarded as the top Wilson celluloid. This is a beautiful example, perfectly centered with rich color. However, we must note several celluloid scratches in the middle to upper portion of the surface. One running to the left from the top of the capitol, is visible, while the others are seen only when the light hits at the right angle. A very displayable and affordable example of a button which almost certainly would command a price north of $10,000 in top condition. This is the Don Warner Collection example. From the Merrill C. Berman Collection.Update: As can be seen in the photo, there are two "flea bites" on the very edge of the button in the 4 o'clock position. These detract little from the aesthetic appeal of the button which remains bright, colorful and glossy.
