Description
Apollo 11 Texas Art Embroidery Crew Patch of the Type Worn on Bio-Garments in Quarantine Directly from The Armstrong Family Collection™, CAG Certified. A very desirable 4" diameter merrowed edge embroidered patch as was issued only to NASA and the crew. This insignia differs from the original concept which depicted the olive branch in the beak of the eagle. That version was deemed too "warlike" and the olive branch, representing peace, was moved to the claws. Sealed in a numbered archival holder, CAG 1001703-002.Condition: Fine.
Provenance: Directly From The Armstrong Family Collection™. This lot will include a Statement of Provenance signed by Neil Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
