John C. Breckinridge: Back-to-back Ferrotype Badge. 25 mm. brass shell badge with ferrotype portraits of the Southern Democrats on either side. This is a real "blazer" and deserves to be called pristine as it looks like the day it was made! There are two teensy bubbles in the emulsion on the Breckinridge side(bottom left), but these have been there since day one. There is also a thin striation in the emulsion... again, been there since day one. All said, it will be tough to find a nicer one!Auction Info
