Daniel Webster: Unusual Portrait Brooch. 3/4" x 1" brooch with hand-colored engraving of Daniel Webster under glass (brown and cyan highlights). The portrait is most unusual. T-bar pin attachment on verso still present, but lacking securing loop. Minor chipping to upper right corner of glass cover, likely done in the making, and of no consequence whatsoever. Probably issued for the election of 1836. From the Merrill C. Berman Collection.
