Brass Belaying Pin from the U.S. Coast Guard Training Barque USS Eagle, Formerly the German Training Ship Horst Wessel.Solid brass, approximately 16-inches. No markings. Verbal provenance from the consigner indicates the belaying pin once was aboard the training barque USS Eagle, formerly a pre-WWII sail training ship called the Horst Wessel.
