Description
Fancy D. W. C. Manufacturing Company Special Police Badge Named to B. Ott, Circa Late 19th Century.Measuring 2 3/4-inches in diameter, two piece construction and pinback. No maker's mark. The star is beautifully hand-engraved with foliate designs at the points of the star featuring a central pocket watch design upon which is engraved the name B. Ott. The outer ring is likewise hand-engraved with SPECIAL POLICE and D. W. C. Mf'g Co. (company name unidentified). The edges of the outer ring are further hand-engraved with anchors within shields and other decorative designs.
Condition: Excellent condition.
