Lot of Two (2) Military Swords.

Comprising; 1) Civil War Sword. 35-inch curved sword, handle with leather and wire present. Hand guard stamped 37 on bottom rung, handle stamped JH / 37 on very end. No scabbard. 41-inches overall. According to consignor notes; "Civil War swrod acquired while living in Virginia from dealer in CW items." 2) Model 1842 NCO Sword by Ames. 32-inch straight blade, ricasso marked AMES MFG. CO / CHICOPEE / MASS. and US / L.H.K. / 1864 obverse. No scabbard present. Brass handle and guard. According to consignor notes, hang tag reads; "Brought back to U.S. from Germany at end of WWII".

Condition: 1) Good to very good as presented. Blade, gray patina overall with scattered smooth pitting. Guard with fair toning, some surface rust present. Blade is a bit lose. 2) Very good, handling wear overall. Blade a smooth gray patina with scattered pitting. Handle very good. A solid example.
